What is Tolcap?
Tolcap is a method for predicting process capability during the earliest stages of design and BEFORE production starts.
It produces reliable tolerance capability data for every product design need.
Who can use Tolcap?
Product designers, manufacturers, engineers, design consultants. Anybody involved in the product design, specification
or manufacturing process who is seeking to improve product quality, reduce cost, avoid loss, manufacture right first time,
solve production headaches and accelerate product introductions.
What is web-based software?
Web-based software is software you use over the Internet with a web browser. You don't have to install any CDs, download
any software or worry about upgrades. In fact you don't have to worry about anything technical. You can just focus on your
job while we handle all the security, uptime, backups and upgrades.
For which manufacturing processes and materials can Tolcap be used?
Tolcap provides tolerance capability data for over 70 different manufacturing processes within the following
categories:
- Cold drawing and rolling
- Cold forming
- Elastomeric and composite moulding
- Extrusion
- Hot forging
- Machining
- Non-traditional machining
- Plastic moulding
- Powder metallurgy
- Sheet metalworking
Is Tolcap reliable?
We take reliability and security very seriously. Our servers are hosted by the professionals at UKFast where our
up time has been running at 99.99%. Our hardware is redundant so even if a hard disk fails, nothing will be lost and
the system will not go down.
How much does it cost to use Tolcap?
Tolcap costs just £245 per month for a concurrent-access licence for 2 users. If more than 2 people in your Organisation
need to access Tolcap at the same time, then additional concurrent-access licences are available for just £95 each per month.
What happens if a registered user tries to access Tolcap when the maximum number of users permitted under my company's
concurrent-access licence are already logged-in?
If you are denied access for this reason, you will see an on-screen message showing the number of concurrent-access sessions
licenced to your company and the names and email addresses of the registered users who are are currently logged-in. You will also
see how long each of these sessions has been inactive so you can ask someone to log off. Alternatively, you can of course ask your
account administrator to increase the number of concurrent-access licences your company holds. We will report monthly to your
administrator, the number of times log-in requests have failed as a result of concurrent-access licences being fully utilised
so the purchase of additional licences may be considered.
When can I buy additional concurrent-access licenses?
Additional concurrent-access licenses can be bought at any time, allowing more registered users to have immediate concurrent
access to Tolcap.
Is there a trial period?
Yes, we provide a 1-month free trial for you to experience just how much value Tolcap can contribute to your business.
We'll be in touch with you during the trial to make sure you're happy with everything and are making the most of Tolcap's
features and benefits. We'll also discuss your ongoing requirements so your access to Tolcap can continue uninterrupted
at the end of the trial. You won't be charged anything if you decide to discontinue using Tolcap at the end of the trial
period.
Are there signup fees, termination fees or other hidden fees we should know about?
Definitely not. You just pay as you go at the start of each month and can cancel your account at any time.
How can I get help if there is a problem?
Tolcap has a clear and simple system for giving feedback, either for reporting problems or giving ideas for future
developments. Just click the "Feedback" link in the heading when you are logged in. We also provide a dedicated support
email address and you'll also be able to check our user forum to see if your question has already been addressed.
Is this a long-term commitment?
We never lock anyone into a contract. We just don't believe in that approach and want you to use Tolcap for as long as you
need it. Our customers can cancel at any time, no questions asked.
What browsers are supported?
Tolcap runs on all major browsers. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera.
Are you planning any future upgrades?
Yes, we're constantly looking for ways to enhance Tolcap. For 2011 we're aiming to create a "Tolcap Memory" feature
allowing our clients to save, store or export their Tolcap calculations. Naturally data security and back up will be of
the highest standards as soon as "Tolcap Memory" comes on stream. We'll also be making improvements to the Tolcap interface,
giving even faster performance and response times.
